What’s special about dogs actfully?

We are a friendly, active dog club based in Combeinteignhead (between Shaldon and Newton Abbot). We offer fun Agility,"PAWLates"/ "Fit Paws" and Practical Obedience classes as well as 1:1 Training sessions. Training is FUN, tailored to you and your dogs, based on positive reward methods and behavioural understanding. In addition to professionally run classes, members can initiate activities such as dog walks, meet-ups and help organise events like seminars and workshops.

  • Thursdays:
  • 3:20pm - Agility (3 months plus experience)
  • 4:40pm - Agility (12 months plus experience)
  • 5:10pm - Agility Foundation
  • 6:00pm - Agility (3 months plus experience)
  • 7:00pm - Beginners Agility - WAITING LIST OPEN NOW
  • Combeinteignhead Village Hall - Combeinteignhead - TQ12 4RG

  • Fridays:
  • 1:30pm - Puppy and Young Dog Fun Practical Obedience
  • 2:30pm - Fun Obedience and FitPaws intro
  • 3:30pm - Fit Paws Doggy Pawlates (for dogs who have foundation obedience skills)

    to join the club

    Annual Club Membership £12 runs 1st October to 1st October (reduced to £8 joining from 1st February onwards and £4 joining 1st June onwards)

    to enrol in a class

    Classes are roughly 50 minutes will run in 6 week blocks with a maximum of 8 dogs.

    Text or Call us on O7958 O1O 4O1 to agree which class you want to join as this will depend on availability. Pay for your class via bank transfer.

    First class is £60 for 6 weeks, 20% discount to £48 for subsequent blocks. Additional classes 50% discount to £30. Payment must be received before joining a class. Private lessons and semi-private options may also be available from £15, please ask.

    about us

    The Short: Canine Coach Lesley has over 20 years experience of Dog Training, solid qualifications and a passion to improve life for dogs and their people.

    The Long: Lesley’s dog training career started as an Assistant Instructor at a well established dog club in Buckinghamshire. After progressing to Senior Instructor Lesley launched her own Dog School – Dog Angels - in 2003,
    before relocating to the USA with her husband Peter (and their three border collies) in 2009 and returning (with four dogs - oops) to settle in Torbay in 2016.

    Lesley is:

    • Agility Club Accredited instructor 1999 (that’s the last Century!)
    • BIPDT 1st Grade 2003;
    • KCAI (Ag) 2007;
    • PDTI Advanced Companion Dog Training 2008;
    • KCAI (CD) 2009;
    • American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator 2012;
    • PDTI Assessor 2015.
    • COAPE Advanced Diploma (Level 3) 2007
    • Level 5 University College Diploma in Canine Training and Behaviour Management 2012.
